Preparing for the site launch

Whether we are building a completely new site, overhauling an existing site, or making site modifications, our process includes the following steps:

Definition of goals
During our initial consultation we will define the following:

  • your overall marketing goals and how a website fits into the picture
  • what information do your clients need or want from you
  • how to best convey this information
  • the next step the site should lead visitors to take when viewing your website
  • what action you plan to take after a website visitor makes that next step

We take this information and create a written proposal describing how we will handle the overall structure and individual pages of the site. When complete, this document will function as both as a contract and website outline.

Test site published
The website outline is transformed into page and style layout and all of the pages called for in the navigation system are created. When actual text and content are available they will be used, when actual content is not available filler elements are inserted. These files will constitute a demonstration site that is posted to a private testing location on the internet. The demonstration is fully reviewed for structure, search engine optimization, and content needs.

Population of individual pages with content
Final content elements will be inserted and layout and structure will be reviewed again in the testing location.

Website published for public view
Upon review and any required adjustment the site will be published for public view at the actual URL address.

Submission of website for search engine indexing
After the site is publicly published the site URL and sitemap are submitted to the major search engines.
